Might be nothing to do with yours but my 06 300 had the same fault and it turned out to be the pipe in the carb that links The 2 over flows together. It pushes on a pipe on one side, goes under the air inlet then onto a pre at the other side. It is meant to be split not a complete pipe. Is the bike new to you. Just something to check.
