What Weight Fork Oil Ty175 15St Rider

hi any advice on what weight oil will suit my ty175 just had forks re ground /chromed all new seals

but not sure whats best as been reading on here and it varies from atf to 10w3o

im also a porker at 15st lol

any advice appreciated

I would stick to the 126cc 10/30, atf would be far too thin a oil for your forks,more so with your weight.i had no problems with the standard set up on my ty 175,and i'm nearly 16 stone.But my ty long gone,wish i had it back sometimes,lol

I use 130ml of 10's weight fork oil in each leg. The action is a reasonable compromise at that, I'm 12 stone and can bottom them out fairly easily. I have added a 10mm spacer under the fork cap, using the best springs I had (from a selection of three sets) I'm toying with the idea of some new springs, and maybe making up some 12.5 weight oil to slow it down just a tad.
