The 1999 Pre-65 Scottish

Recommended Posts

We were at the 1999 Pre-65 Scottish in force, Mary and I had our caravan parked on Bunree, close by Mick and Maureen Ransom in their motorhome and also Harry Bradley in his two-berth caravan.

Friday dawned bright and sunny, so it was up to Kinlochleven to see the pre-65 crowd - tales to swop, old friends to greet - then out to Caolasnacoan where I took up my position near the foot of the section whilst Mary went further up the hill, that way we often got two looks at any interesting bikes and views of both sides for record purposes.

The eventual runner-up was Len Hutty - it was almost an 'of course' back in those days, Len took a lot of beating - and his bikes were always well worth a good look at with the camera.
