Scorpa Oil Change

Hi.

Just bought a Scorpa 250 (04) and want to change the oil. The manual that came with the bike is a photocopy of one for a 4 stroke so is no use.

I thought about measuring what comes out but that would be assuming it was at the correct level when I bought it.

Anyone out there let me know the amount I need to put in to a drained engine (sat on a paddock stand)?

Hi,if I mind right it's 750 ml and should be marked on the clutch casing.

There's a wee 8mm bolt which is a level plug hiding behind the rear brake lever.

Watch how you go with the drain plug as the originals are made of toffee.

I used atf,,but I think light gear oil would be suitable too.

Cheers.

I've done a fair bit of researching in to this on the forum and the general consensus was the amount of oil required is 400ml, if you drain out the old oil (after the engine has been warmed up) you should get about 400ml. If you drain and then put 750ml in, 350ml will come out of the drain/level bolt.

think I may just remove the 8mms bleed screw behind the brake lever and fill 400ml + a bit until it come out of the holes, 400ml being what I roughly got out.

as a point of interest why is the bleed hole on the gear change side for?

I'm full of question as this is my first trial bike and first 2 stroke!
