A recently restored 1960 Scottish (32A) has been stolen from a garage in South Reading Berkshire Reg *** GWL. Finished in a brighter than standard blue. Any help in recovery greatly appreciated. Theft reported to Thames Valley police.
Thanks.

So sorry to here that you have been subject to this, I had ttr250 and of all things demm dove moped stolen last year, these bikes are not about the value its About the intrusion and unltimately the personal value we put into these great mechanical institutions. Time doesn't heal but it does rekindle the flame please don't lose that.

Hi,

A friend who lives not far from you had his very original but not restored, just regularly ridden over the years, Greeves Anglian stolen.

In his case the bike was in a locked garage and chained down to a cemented in security bolt in the floor, but they still had it away.

But what can you do with a bike such as that when you've pinched it, you might be lucky and sell it, but only to a specialist dealer and with all the supporting docs - so the thief advertised it on ebay.

My mate had been watching for the advert, so got another friend from miles away to put in a bid and then go for a viewing, he informed the police in advance and they were ready to pounce when he showed up as a 'mate' at the viewing, and was able to confirm it was his bike.

So don't give up hope..........
