But what are they going to do with GG ? Are they just going to resurrect the old company and continue as before? The comments suggest they want to reinstate all the original staff ( around 80) so there is a tidy wage bill to pay.

Things have moved on since the demise of GG and the market isn't as big for as it once was for them with Vertigo and TRS now in the mix. Both quality machines.

They lost a fortune before, how are they going to not lose that amount again? This is what I want to know..

atomant, it's nice that you are curious, but....  Do you think the new owner is making an approximately 30 million euro investment without a viable plan?  And, unless you own stock, what difference does it make to you?

What do you think overheads are on the factory including wages for a month or two?

More than profit on 3000 bikes?

My guess is enduro bikes never made a dime.

A buy like this doesnt have to be profitable on the sort run, as long as it gets profitable on the long run. And probably there is (additional) value for the tarrot brand.

With respect, there are stupid people in this world with or without money! I have no idea why someone would invest 30 million Euro into GG when their product offer is so limited and with so much other quality competition about ?  The obvious thoughts would be to bring their electric bike to trials and enduro at very competitive prices and try and dominate the market. Lobby the authorities to ban petrol engines on environmental grounds forcing us to have electric bikes only.. or maybe as Torrot is a company whose roots are in Catalonia, their motivation may not be just business related..

In relation to holding stock, I would be surprised if there is anyone on these forums who would invest in GG right now as generally, I find most trials folk are a bit switched on to the value of money.

Wish them all the best, even to get this far puts us to shame,Spain with all it's problems finding cash to fund this.

If Sammy Miller never went to Spain trials would be finished.

Even when a country (like spain) is on its arssse there is always someone whose business survives and thrives. Look at vertigo.

Sammy going to spain made a turning point but trials would have survived either way or another im sure.

Riding bikes off road is what we did and always will regardless of bikes manufacturers stars wtc and even advice from dadoff.....

Theres one thing for sure. The market is not going to be big enough to support all the other manufacturers and Gas Gas with these big ideas.

Next year will be Beta, Gas Gas, Sherco, Scorpa, Vertigo, Trs, Montesa, Jotagas, Ossa?, plus a few companies doing electric bikes.

Its going to be interesting!
