Bolsover Mc And Lcc 1950S And 60S,

Recommended Posts

Not a member, but I can remember it... and the numerous other clubs in every town and village.

Bolsover pit was the first and last pit I went down, with other pits in between. Happy days....

Brockley Hill Bolsover held the very first all sidecar race , results are on thejohndaveypages.org website,

i know Walt Bulloch is still around in Nort  Notts and Dave Elvidge lives in the far east,

they had some decent trials riders too,

Can you recall venues where events were held.

The only ones in the area I know would have been Thorpe Salvin, Amen Corner, Rhodesia & Teversal.

Thorpe Salvin was the best trials course ever, I'm looking out of my window at the 'Rhodesia' course now....

There are photos in my offroadarchive of Bolsover events which will all eventually find their way into our digital magazine, if only somebody could invent thirty hour days................

There was a trial course at Guilding Wells near Shirebrook,

I went there to a New Years day trial a few years back and met my old mate Brian Woods there letting his son have a play on his '60's Bultaco which he bought new when he worked for Jimmy Cunningham at High Street Motors, (Triumph dealer) in Clowne....

Excellent little course....
