Progressive Fork Springs

It does with valve springs but that's more to do with the added inertia of the denser coils I guess. Not that a Fantic has valve springs. So I don't know. See above, not a bad idea.

If my memory works , Tight coils to the top ... But I don't think it makes much difference . I seem to remember some action and reaction thing I learned somewhere ...

I have always seen them at the top and I have always put them at the top on my bikes.

Hi Guys,

Tighter wound coils to the top, this will slightly decrease the un sprung weight.

Prelit

But heighten the centre of gravity.

LOL so im now none the wiser. Not sure if i should go with progressive springs or not and also not sure if i do if it makes any difference which way up they are  :chairfall:  :wall:

Perhaps a different question? Has anybody fitted the Magicals and noticed a difference and if so better or not ?

I fitted Magicals, along with 7.5 wt oil, rather than 10 wt, to my TY mono and was really surprised how much difference they made. One of the best upgrades I have done. And yes, you are meant to have the tighter wound part of the springs at the top.
