Toni Bou injured his back again in a fall at a demo in Japan..

Apparently not too bad and his aim is to be fit for the beginning of the X-Trial champs on 20th January.

Assume based on this, he is a big doubt for Sheffield.. Now looks like no Bou and no Fajardo.. Looks like another sub rider needs drafting in.

Gelabert hopefully.. Looked cracking there last 2 years

Reports say that he has broken 2 ribs and that he has been advised by a doctor to rest for  a few weeks before attempting any heavy physical activity........Also that Albert Cabestany has announced his retirement from World Trials Competition owing to a situation arising where he could not find a place on any of the teams[Beta dropped him with the reason that they are cutting back on expenditure and were going with younger riders.... translate that as less expensive].Does anyone know what happened when he left Sherco as I got the Impression that he fell out with them in a bad way.

The legend that is Albert Cabestany .....not economically viable.

Oops! I did it again........

It would have made more sense to have Cabestany in Trial GP in 2019  and dropped Dabill down to win the Trial2 class

2018 GP FINAL standings  Cabestany  5th       Dabill  7th

Cabestany perhaps lost out to Dabill  because of possible adverse effects on sales of the Beta Evo in the UK where they sell a lot of bikes

May be the top riders are getting fed up of hurting themselves at nearly every outing. When you’re paid and expected to give a good performance at what stage do you back down and say....nope thats too dam dangerous...even with a catcher! The older you get the longer and usually more painful it takes to recover.

Full marks to Sherco for trying out stuff, but Cabestaney had to ride some weird bikes for Sherco, such as the 2008 320 4t and the 2010-on 2t back fuel tankers. Talk about a handicap. Finally when they got it right once more (2017 etc), he's up the road!
