Sherpa T piston pin spacers

Hi all

just getting around to installing the new wiseco piston I got from In Motion for my 199

they were out of single needle bearings so they sent two smaller ones that fit fine.

The spacers they sent are flat on one side and sort of dished on the other.

I assume the flat sides go against the piston?

While trying a dry run on the fitting, I found there isn't enough room to get both spacers in.What am I doing wrong?

thank you for any suggestions.

Hi Herman, did you fit the spacers in line and then pushed the gudgeon (piston) pin in? The 2 spacer recess's should butt up against the needle roller cage and then the pin should fit through - did you try this without fitting into the little end? If this method is unable to fit then you should contact the supplier. Bye, Peter B.

As peterb said the dished side of the spacers go against the top of the conrod over the ends of the gudgeon bearings. I use a little dab of grease to hold them in while assembling the top end. When you have the standard one piece bearing it is wider than the top of the conrod so I`m assuming the 2 smaller bearing are also wider. Graham.
