Hello Twinshockers

Something for the cold evenings at home.

I was riding on 15 January a AFATA Twinshock Trial Luxeuil in France, see their webpage for more info:

http://philmarg.club.fr/index.htm

I wrote a report with pics on our club homepage (needs ADSL highspeed, because I put many pics and some clips on it). It's in German, but the pics are "jpg".

Before the Trial I visited a nice Museum of Joel Corroy, Scottish Pre65 rider

http://www.twnclub.ch/classic_trial_files/...Luxeuil2006.htm

the Trial is on the next page:

I don't know about Twinshock events in UK, but I think not winning or riding the best bike, but having fun and not falling is important and to see many different bikes and meet friends.

:snowman:

Cheers Patrick

Thank you Big John :D

It took me almost 1 year and more money than I thought to build it.

If you are interested in the story, more on

I was actually inspired by your red Golner Honda 300 once seen on this forum.

I still need to fix some funny noise coming up during the Trial, maybe the cam chain is loose again..No time yet, ski is now on the program in Switzerland

Twinshock means spending time on mechanics and service as well... :)

Pat

If you enjoyed the trial at Luxeuil you will definitely enjoy Joel's 2 day trial at Acheteaux-Roide near Montbelliard on 15/16 July. I have ridden it several times and will be there again this year. Good sections and a great variety of twinshock and Pre65 bikes

patrick , i just bought a sammy miller tl125 exhaust (tail pipe and middle pipe) for my tl 250 it will not bolt straight on to the original front pipe, i was wondering what alterations to the exhaust did you do to make it fit, really enjoyed the photos and video clips,

:P Hy Alan

Do you ride your TL 250 in Trials ?

SMiller Exhaust fitted to TL250: I sew 1-2cm of the original pipe after the small exhaust. The Swan Neck has to be bent e little bit down (abaout 1cm)and maybe a little towards the shock. I used a piece from a silicon tube (ok till 200 Degrees ?, have not ridden yet in summer heat)an popped it on the remaining (shortened 1st exhaust tube), used also some silicon spray. This allows to vary the angle and you don't have to bend the swan neck too much.

Here a pic

Hope it helps

Patrick
