ty250 mono original red seat

Recommended Posts

After nearing the end of a lockdown rebuild on my ty mono I presumed replacing the tattered original seat would be as easy as clicking a button .How wrong I was .. after looking  at a few options and wanting keep it original anyone have a clue what a good condition one fetches these days when they come up for sale ?

I have never seen one come up for sale. Might as well by a shell or fiberglass tank unit.

Try Paul at Cambridge Trials Centre, he specialises in these, last time I spoke with him about them he wanted around £200 for a half decent one, the plastic lugs all break off normally. I think he was looking to reproduce them.

Seat unit itself with plastic or the red seat alone?

If its just the seat i have a vgc red one spare. 3rd one on the right.

I sold my decent freshly painted steel tanks and plastic seat units in the UK and went smaller plastic tank with Paul's Shedworks one piece tank/seat unit shelters.

But you want originality.
