Good morning I have just bought my first trials bike, its a "itch" that's needed scratching for a while, it was sold to me as a 2004 beta 250, very tired looking but with reams of very recent receipts (new piston etc) which either means I am set for a while or its a "nail" and he got fed up of spending on it!?  but the receipts suggest its 270cc!  once I work out how to upload some pics I will.. the rear mudguard has been snapped and has had a terrible cable tie repair,, I am shocked that they are not available!..  I will no doubt have loads of questions  but I am moving to Spain next week so barring  a 1 min ride  I had no time to go get familiar with it before packing it in a lorry!..  but the thermostat has been bypassed, is this a "standard mod"?

cheers

It's a standard work-around for a failed thermostatic switch, which is a pretty common thing
