Hi Guys,

Been signed up for over a year but not made a post, so thought I should say hi.

I have just taken delivery of a Montesa 4RT, not new, but good enough for me to get back into the sport.

I previously owned another Montesa, a 315R and used to compete in local clubman trials.

Something I plan to do again with my new to me 4RT.

Probably should add some pictures of my new steed, so here we go!

So the graphics on my 4RT had definitely seen better days, the tank ones in particular seem to have been damaged by petrol which has stained them.

Luckily new genuine Montesa graphics are not that pricy, and as my bike already has the 300RR rear mudguard and graphics, I ordered some to match the tank and frame and they were delivered today, so just sat down and fitted them.

First I had to remove the tank graphics and clean the old adhesive off.

You can see the bottle on one of the pictures.

Its Wurth brake cleaner, brilliant at removing adhesive of any sort.

That's what I had in mind to use. Well, brake cleaner of some sort anyway. It's a simple basic chemical so I don't think I need to pay extra for a brand name.

BTW, don't use carb cleaner on anything except a carb. It softens paint.
