Pegasus MC & LCC

Competitors at Castle Bytham for Pegasus MC & LCC's Invicta Shield Trial were treated to a bright sunny but cold conditions for the 5 laps of 9 sections. Jono Blount made the trip from Mansfield worthwhile to take the main award, inflicting a rare defeat on Tom Ablewhite. Jono took his Sherco around for an impressive total of just 8 marks. Tom Ablewhite claimed the runners up spot on a most cleans decision over best Intermediate on the day Donna Fox.

Top 50/50 rider was the burly humbersider Rob McElnea, dropping just 14 on his Beta. Section 9 was a graded hill and runner up on the 50/50 route, Bo Kyrnyckyj had the distinction of being the only rider to make it to the very top on every lap.

Smooth and consistent as ever John Fox, Beta, topped a busy middle route as the best Over 40 rider dropping just 7 marks. Completing the top three on this route were a pair of twin shock competitors with Martin Bone TY Yamaha taking the runners up position on 14 just a single mark better than the SWM powered Paul Wagstaff. Best novice was Paul Hedison.

R. Bown was the best Adult Beginner on the white route. His total of  7 were all lost on the graded hill climb, which was an impressive performance on this section and was better than a lot of his higher graded competitors. Michael Smalley was next best aboard his REV3 Beta on 12 marks.
