Peterborough Trackstar Trial

The fifth trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place today where 47 riders tackled 5 laps of 10 sections at Stibbington Quarry. We were treated to a sunny dry day with some dust making some of the sections slippery at the beginning but easing up as the day went on.

 

The winner of the trial was Sam Gent who dropped just 2 marks with a dab a piece on section 1 and 10 from Billy Craig who travelled over from Derbyshire and dropped 5 marks. Joe Collins was next along dropping 40 marks to win best youth A just ahead of Kieran McDaid who was best youth B on 47 marks with best inter Guy Bradley on 48 marks just behind. 

 

On the 50/50 route Mick Thurman was best dropping 27 marks with Tony Jones close behind on 30 marks dropped riding a mono Yamaha with Martin bone next along on a twinshock Yamaha. The best youth rider on the 50/50 route was Tom Bishop on 75 marks dropped. 

 

On the middle route twin shock class rider Oliver Wareing riding a fantic dropped just 1 mark all day to comfortably beat over 40 class riders Tim Gent and Richard Rogers who dropped 18 and 19 marks respectively. The other class winners on the middle route were best Clubman Richard Carpenter on 33 marks dropped, George Warren who was best novice and Shannon Butler who was best B newcomer. 

 

On the White route Bob Wright dropped 7 marks to narrowly beat Robin Davis who dropped 8 marks with Mick Howard in third on 17 marks dropped. The best youth rider was Alfred Alderman riding his Allens trial spares beta.

 

We had a conducted rider as well today where Anthony Piper rode 10 sections with his Dad and dropped 73 marks we hope he learned a lot and enjoyed his day.
