Peterborough Autumn Trophy Trial

The Sixth and final  trial of the Peterborough trials club championship took place today where 52 riders tackled 4 laps of 10 sections at Stibbington Quarry. We set out a trial with a lot cambered turns making use of the slippery dusty conditions that caught a few out but hopefully made for a testing enjoyable trial.

The winner of the trial was Rob Margetts who dropped 12 marks with youth A rider Joe Collins just 1 mark behind on 13, expert rider Ian Watts was third on 33 marks. The best intermediate rider today was Guy Bradley and Tom Spencer was best youth B rider.

On the 50/50 route Rob Mcelnea narrowly beat Tony Jones with the pair losing 13 and 14 marks, Paul Smart was next up on 37 marks dropped and the best youth rider on the 50/50 route was Adam Juffs who dropped 51 marks.

On the middle route twin shock riders led the way with Fantic rider Oliver Wareing staying clean all day to take the win from Martyn Rushbrook on a Suzuki dropping 2 marks, next along was best over 40 rider Andrew Atkins dropping 9 marks who beat by way of furthest clean another twin shock rider Phil Soley also on a Fantic. The best Novice rider today was Richard Spencer who was one place ahead of best Clubman rider Colin Ridgeway. The best youth B Newcomer was Shannon Butler who dropped 49 marks.

On the white route Mike Smalley came out top dropping just 2 marks with Robin Davis second on 5 marks and Doug Theobald third on 6 marks dropped. Once again Alfred Alderman was best Youth rider on the white dropping 40 marks and getting closer to the top every trial.

We had a couple of conducted riders who set out some sections with there dads supervision and hopefully enjoyed their day. Jake Fraser rode a big wheel OSET dropping 54 marks and Anthony Piper Martin was on a small wheel OSET and dropped 58 marks.

Thanks to everyone who turned out today and a special thank you to those who observed. We hope to see you all again on the 26 October at Harringworth for our presentation trial.
