Pegasus MC & LCC - Last Minute Trial

Heavy overnight rain made the sections in the bottom area of the quarry extremely hard going for the competitors at Pegasus MC & LCC's last event of the 2014 season. When the scores were tallied it was Donna Fox, now aboard a Sherco, who took the main award. Donna found little to challenge her on the grippier top sections but it was on the trickier going where she stamped her authority. Runner up position went the way of Mike Evans, Gas Gas, and rounding out the top three was Youth A winner Danny Catlin.

Paul Wareing put in one the day's best performances aboard his Montesa 4RT dropping a creditable total of 64 to head the 50/50 route. Paul used the four stroke power to good effect on the graded hill climb where he was one of just a few riders to make it to the top. Guy Bradley and John Holland also ride well to claim top three finishes.

Results were closer on the middle route with winner Andrew Atkin's total of 83 taking the win by just 4 marks from John Fox, with Tom Laycock pipping Paul Davies on most cleans. Top Novice on the route was Scunthorpe's Adam Witting.

Kev Witting, Drayton Bantam, and Toby Mears tied at the top of the white route each on 90 marks, but Kev got the win on the most cleans rule, 19 compared to Toby's 17.
