Hull Auto Club, Open Trial, Low North Park, Harwood Dale, Scarborough, North Yorks – The Embro Cup Trial.

In April this year, we allowed SDMC one of our dates so that they could run a National Trial. In return, they kindly offered to let us run our last trial of 2014 at their fantastic Low North Camp venue. The Club is looking forward to running a trial at "The Camp" and Clerk of the Course Roy Jarvis hopes to run a long lap and will try to put his own stamp on the sections.

The SDMC Ladies have also kindly agreed to run their full refreshment facilities so that bacon butties, tea and the like will be available.

It's an OPEN solo trial for all Adult & Youth ACU licence holders (remember to bring your licence!) with separate conducted Youth D & E and beginner adults adjacent to the parking field.

Hull Auto always runs 3 routes, Expert, Clubman A and easy Clubman B. Intermediates ride a mixture of Expert and Clubman A sections, following the Clubman A route on the harder expert sections.

This is normally for D & E Youths, but as we have received requests from a few beginner/ older adults who want very easy sections for a fun ride, we will include them in this group.

The legendary George McGee runs this course for several clubs in the East Yorks Centre. He is very experienced and has been organising training sessions for youths since the late 80's and marks out according to the skill level on the day. He sets some suitable sections and the youngsters + responsible parents + beginner adults move round with him in a group.

Although all Hull Auto Trials are OPEN, club members accumulate points towards the Club Championships. This being the last trial of 2014, some of the class awards are still to be decided the closest of which is in Clubman B where Andy and Stuart Coultas are on 35 points each!
