Loris Gubian News

loris gubian spainThere was major concern at the Spanish world round last weekend when young French Gas Gas rider, Loris Gubian had a particularly nasty crash on the sixth section during the second day of competition where he fell attempting to navigate a tricky step and his bike landed on top of him. The paramedics present spent considerable time attending to Loris in the section, adding to the concern of all present, before he was removed by stretcher and taken to hospital in Cordoba after it was found his injuries were deemed too serious to treat locally.

The good news is that the injuries, whilst still bad, are not as serious as they appeared at the time. Loris has lost one tooth, broken three others and has stitches in both upper and lower lips. Both Loris and his family would like to thank all those who have sent messages of concern and support and single out Albert Casanovas and Bruno Camozzi for their support at the time.

A friendly and popular rider on the World circuit, we wish Loris all the best for a speedy recovery and return to the competition.
