nene valleyNene Valley MCC held their annual Albert Glover Trial at Cranford Firs on Sunday. This was the eighth round of the club championship with 29 riders attending for what was to be a great day for everyone.

 

The trial was 4 laps of 10 sections and the riders comprised of 4 experts, 2 Youth A riders, 1 50/50 rider, 5 Inter riders, 9 Clubman riders, 5 Sportsman riders, 2 riders preferring the easy route and 1 D Class rider made up the entry.

 

The expert class was won by Mark Harris who dropped only 10 marks, second place went to Steve Swanson who dropped 28 marks. Third place went to Graeme Watson with 60 marks lost.

 

The Youth A Class was won by Joe Collins who dropped 43 marks, second place went to Sam Rolls who dropped 54 marks.

 

The 50/50 class was won by Tony Jones who dropped 22 marks, he was the only 50/50 rider.

 

The Intermediate route was won by Daniel Ledger with 22 marks lost, followed in second place by Paul Haddingham who dropped 25 marks. Third place went to Josh Hewitt with 31 marks lost.

 

The Clubman class was won by Pete Ablewhite with a loss of 9 marks. Second place went to Paul Davies with 13 marks lost. Third place went to Paul Robinson with 16 marks lost.

 

The Sportsman route was won by Josh Davies with 17 marks lost, second place went to Simon Cort who also dropped 17 marks, Josh won on most cleans. Third place went to Toby Mears with 18 marks lost.

 

The easy route was won by Brian Ayres with 9 marks lost. Brian was the only rider finishing the trial.

 

The D Class route was won by Alfie Ray Turner who dropped 74 marks. Alfie was the only D Class rider.

 

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and look forward to seeing you all again at Irthlingborough on the 19th of October for the October Cup trial.
