Red Rose Classic MCC have been forced to switch venues for this Sunday's (17th Jan) 2016 Championship opener. Torrential rain over the last four weeks, which has seen large-scale flooding in Lancashire, has left their orginal venue, Pendle Hall Fam in Padiham, too waterlogged.
The club will now be using Copy Pit, Cliviger, near Burnley (nearest postcode BB10 4SZ), the site of their last trial of 2015.
It promises to be a cracker as three-times world champion Yrjo Vesterinen has volunteered to plot the sections, with help from experienced club member Chris Riley.
