After a week of mixed weather before our event, the wooded venue at South Elkington was particularly dry. 52 riders entered our 4th Covid restricted Trial to tackle 4 laps of 10 sections that had been plotted by David Hird and Harold Allen. The Club had taken the initiative to reintroduce the Intermediate route, that was well supported. Most of the sections rode well with the exception of section 5 which was the major mark taker for all 3 routes, Clubman and Inter route riders were spared the deep water gully that as the day proceeded carried a steady stream of water down the hillside affecting the climb out to the ends cards only, in fact John Wilson has taken a fine set of pictures at this section and can be found on the John Wilson Photography face book site…..well worth a look!
A big thank you to all the riders that made it over to Louth for the trial, also thank you to our observers who make it all possible.
Our next Trial is scheduled for the 1st of November at Nettleton Bottom, (subject to no change in restrictions) due to the size of the parking at this venue we will have to impose a strict limit to rider numbers, so keep an eye on the Club website around the 20th of the month for the new entry form.
