Recently crowned ten times FIM X-Trial World Champion Toni Bou – Repsol Honda will miss tomorrow’s FIM X-Trial des Nations in Nice, France after having sustained a shoulder injury yesterday as a result of a training crash. Bou will be replaced in the two-man Spanish team by the 2016 FIM X-Trial Vice World Champion Adam Raga – TRS who will now take his place alongside rookie Jaime Busto – Repsol Honda as this very able duo bid for a tenth successive team prize.
Bou will undergo further examination of his injury today in order to obtain a full diagnosis and to understand how this will impact on the start of his defence of his FIM Trial World Championship that is due to get underway at his home Grand Prix next weekend 9 / 10th April. A spokesperson for the team explained that they expect to make an official announcement early next week regarding Bou’s condition and to confirm his participation in the opening round in Cal Rosal.
The revised rider / team line up for tomorrow evening’s FIM X-Trial des Nations is now as follows:
