Womens World Championship

In the same scenario as yesterday, where she won her fourth European title, Laia Sanz (Montesa-HRC Cota 315R) has prevailed this Sunday in the first of the two meetings of the Women's World Trial Cup, a contest that the young Catalan rider has won in the last four editions. The Repsol-Montesa HRC rider came out best in both of the two full rounds on a course with ten sections including the play off, reserved for the first ten qualifying and also contested in two laps, on this occasion in the four rock sections by the beach.

Laia Sanz: “I was better concentrated than yesterday, which you can see from the result, just two marks. This is the best way to start off on the track towards another world title which, with just the two scoring rounds, doesn't permit the slightest of errors. You just have to remember that if in the next meeting the results between Claire and I are inverted, then the title won't be mine because if there is a points tie then the advantage always goes to the one who achieved the last triumph. So, it means doing it again as best you can ”.

The second and final meeting of the FIM Women's World Trial Cup will be contested in Cordoba next Friday, September 24th, on the day before the Trial des Nations, the world teams championship.
