Top Turnout For Sherco Open Day

2015 sherco weekend 1Last Saturday, 7th November, the anticipated Sherco Open Day took place at Westwood where all models of trials and enduro bikes were on test. Despite the weather it had a huge turnout and everyone seemed to go away with a smile on their face.

Dealers in attendance were AG Bikes from Richmond, Road and Trials from Barnsley, John Lee from Northants, SPJ Autos from Surrey, Active Bikesport from Radstock, Gary Jenkins from Newtown, Trials UK from Leeds, Matt Pope from Norfolk, Cloburn from Helmsley, St. Blazey from Cornwall, Inch Perfect from Clitheroe as well as the full range of bikes on test with MRS.  So there was no shortage of bikes or dealers to speak to on the day covering virtually the whole country.

All the MRS team trials and enduro riders were also in attendance including multi World Ladies Extreme and Trials Champion Emma Bristow. On the enduro front Jack Rowland and Mark Roberts were giving demos all day along with the top expert and clubman riders. On the trials front we gave a big welcome back to Darren Brice, who won the Expert Class last time he rode for MRS Sherco and there will be a big announcement next week regarding the signing of a top enduro rider.

After a whole day for the dealers speaking with customers and all the team riders giving a demonstration it was time for MRS to repay all of them for their hard work this year by going back to the Holiday Inn Rotherham North where everyone was fed and watered, the top enduro table won the quiz. Malcolm introduced all the riders and Rhoda gave out the Willing Dalling trophy for Top Sherco Dealer for 2015 which was a very close run affair this year. There were a lot more dealers selling bikes this year but at the end it was a very close contest with RCM MotorCycles winning the trophy but Active Bikesport and AG Bikes very close behind.

2015 sherco weekend 2After the formalities were over it was into the bar where the night finished in its normal frenzy of action with Chas Lee, once again, holding up the family tradition by downing the most drinks. If there was a trophy for this Chas would win hands down!!

All in all a brilliant day and it only remains for MRS to say a very big thank you to motorcycle enthusiast Tim Reynolds who very kindly allowed us to use the land for the day, Sally and John Hayden from Putoline who have sponsored the team this year and enjoyed all the entertainment on offer. A huge thanks also to Michelin who once again have supported MRS throughout the year.  Without these companies it just wouldn't be possible to run the teams in the way that we do.

All models of trials bikes can now be ordered from your local dealer from 125 through to 250 and 300. MRS have all the range of enduro bikes available from the 250 2T and 300 2T to the 250 4T, 300 4T and 450 4T all in the race specification.
