With a high number of entries to our recent competition to win a copy of the Classic Twinshock Trials book from the guys at Yoomee Products, very few actually got the answer correct.
We wanted to know which of Mick Andrews, Martin Lampkin or Malcolm Rathmell won the most World Championship rounds between 1965 and 1985. There was a slight trick in this in that were were no world rounds prior to 1975. Most of you went for either Mick Andrews or Martin Lampkin, but the correct answer was in fact Malcolm Rathmell.
The wins were:
1975 | 1976 | 1977 | 1978 | 1979 | 1980 | 1981 | 1982 | 1983 | 1984 | 1985 | Total | |
Malcolm Rathmell | 3 | 3 | 3 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 11 |
Martin Lampkin | 3 | 3 | 1 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 10 |
Mick Andrews | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 4 |
A name was selected at random from the correct entries so congratulations to Ian Bowers. I'll be in touch to sort out delivery details.
