Gas Gas Weekend Round-up

Ztc 7390No.1 JST GGUK rider Michael Brown was back in WTC action in Italy after missing the Spanish round. He did the right thing after Andorra and decided to sit out Spain. He has worked hard in the gym and with physio to get his knee better in time for Italy yesterday. Although not 100% his knee was ‘ok’ and did not handicap him much at all. Having no time on the bike beforehand didn’t help but to be fair he rode very well and 8th was a fantastic result considering. One mark off Team mate Matteo Grattarola was frustrating. Michael gave 100% and if his knee continues to heal I'm sure he will finish the season on a high. He will rest his knee this week and return on Friday for the Czecho round on Sunday.

Road and Trials GG rider Jack Price did not have the WTC debut he expected. After finishing the previous days Euro round in 9thth place in he rode his first World Round yesterday and had a few problems which forced him out of time; a broken footrest, puncture and bent front fork mudguard brace affecting the forks delayed Jack and in the end lost too much time and didn’t feature in the results.

KATY jefferies 2013This was a great experience for Jack who must go through the ‘learning curve’ and will be back for more WTC action at Penrith in three weeks time.

Thanks to Andrea from GG Italia and Mick Wren from the ACU.

JST GGUK Multi National winner Dan Thorpe was second at the famous Allan Jefferies National Trial losing out by only one mark to winner Ian Austemule. JST rider Jack Stones was 10th.

JST GG girl Katy Sunter won another clubman class overall again, awesome rider from Katy.
