West Riding Northern British Road Trial

yorkshire classic mccThe weather gods shone favourably on round 4 of the Northern British Bike Championship, the Yorkshire Classic Club's West Riding road trial run around Bronte Country on Sunday.

Dry sections made life difficult for Colin Pawson and his merry men to take marks safely from the 80 all pre65 mounted riders.

At the end of the day Chris Haigh on his Jackson framed Velo was the only rider to finish the hard route unpenalised with Chris Gascoigne and Micky Quinn following on with 2 marks lost.

The easy route saw three riders go clean including Andy Webbe taking the rigid class on his cute little C10 BSA, Colin Fray the Vintage two stroke class on his original looking Dot and Andrew Cooke choosing to ride his Dot to clean up in the clubman's class.

Liquid refreshments at the Guide Inn were most welcome at the end of the 38 mile run through the beautiful Pennine landscape.

Thanks to everyone for making this event a huge success.
