Congratulations to Road and Trials GAS GAS rider Jack Price who clinched the 2013 A Class British Youth Championship yesterday at a very wet Bracken Rocks near Matlock organised by the Mansfield Maun MCC.
Although to win the event yesterday was not needed, Jack had to beat Dan Pearce to win the championship. Both riders would have been nervous and Jack and Dan were 3rd and 4th respectively so the title has gone to Jack.
Congrats again from all at GGUK.
In the B Class, Kelcoat/GGUK rider Sam Yeomans was 3rd on the day and I think has finished 3rd in the Championship overall so well done to Sam and family.
Also (which I should have mentioned a couple of weeks back, sorry) congrats to GAS GAS rider Jack Dance who won the D Class Medium Wheel British Championship winning every round! Well done to Jack and family.
The Lakes Two Day was also at the weekend where JSTGGUK riders were out in force as always at this great event which is also good preparation for The Scott Trial this coming Saturday.
Although we did not have a GG win (congrats Dibs), our No.1 rider Michael Brown was a close runner up and assures me his bike is fast enough for Saturday!
Sam Haslam JSTGG had a good ride finishing 4th only seven marks behind the winner.
Past winner Alexz Wigg JSTGG had a few daft fives which put him in 8th. Nevertheless the marks were very close so im sure Alexz will give it 100% at the Scott and try to get that Team award for GG with Michael and Doug.
JSTGGUK riders Dan Thorpe was 12th, Ben Morph 17th and Jack Stones 22nd.
GG girl Katy Sunter also rode the much harder National Class in preparation for The Scott.
GG rider Darren Wasley easily won the Clubman Class.
