Jack White 2013

southampton and district mcc

Well that was a relief – after all the foul weather warnings & torrential rain during the week, come the day of the trial & blue skies, golden corn waving in the breeze; a perfect autumn day for this years Jack White trial.

The Jack White is a round of the Southern centre ACU Solo star championship & the George Allan Pre-65 series & is run non-stop.

The sections were laid out to be ride-able by Pre-65s with deviations for the novices & expert riders.

The rain held off until most riders were on their 3rd lap when a light shower had all the riders getting a wriggle on in case the sections became slippery again.

Fortunately for all it was just a quick spritz & the results sheets remained dry(ish)

Ben Skinner took the Expert win on 20 marks lost from Brian Francis who lost 28 marks.

Ian Guy took a convincing win on his BSA 250 in the Pre-65 class & Mark Owen with 6 marks lost just beat Tony Lucas on 9 marks in the modern solo Intermediate class.

Thanks to all the observers, officials & riders who all contributed to a very enjoyable day. Results attached ( please check our web-site for pictures/video of the event www.sdmcc.net )
