Stroud Valley Sapperton Cup

After strong winds and heavy rain on Saturday afternoon which required repairs to some of the course marking before the start, the sections at Breakheart Quarry were surprisingly dry.

In a sadly depleted expert class Will McBain came out on top and adds his name to the past winners list.

The clubman expert class was well supported with Stroud Valley clubman Nathan Pekala pushing Dane Palmer into second spot.

Scorpa mounted duo Tim Wheeler and Martyn Wilmore battled for the clubman route win, with two marks separating them at the finish.

A clean ride from Anthony Knott took the Sportsman route from twinshock mounted Matt Franklin who dabbed once in section 1.

Thanks to all riders who supported the event. There were some comments that sections were too tight for the no-stop rule which we will take on board, but hopefully most enjoyed a good days trialling.

A special thanks to our observers who manned the sections and to Ray Pekala and team at Breakheart Community Project for the tracks and trails cut out to make for an enjoyable ride round.
