A bit damp at Post Hill for the fifth championship round! A heavy shower just as the trial started made sure that there would not be a problem with dust! The main problem was a lack of riders and also a lack of observers. With only one rider on the championship course Paul Kettlewell only needed to finish in order to take the win! Nursing a sick bike towards the end of his final lap he did just that and took maximum points for his championship total. The sun did make an appearance however and the trial finished in bright and sunny conditions.
On the easy course the over 50's made up the first 5 places with only 15 marks separating first and fifth place. John Wilkinson the victor here; parting with only 2 marks.
