Pegasus MC & LCC Fantic Trial

Light overnight rain did little to change the conditions at Stainby for the Pegasus MC & LCC Fantic Trophy Trial. Held over 5 laps of 8 sections the main award went the way of Lincoln's Mike Evans, Gas Gas. Just 2 single dabs spoiled an otherwise perfect scorecard for the ever improving rider. Mike was pushed all the way by Alford's Paul Marwood who was also in single figures at the finish with an impressive total of 5.

On the middle route Olly Wareing appropriately headed the results aboard his immaculate Fantic machine, his total of 6 was just 2 marks better that best Over 40 rider Paul Davies on his Cambridge Trial Centre Scorpa. At the finish Paul was just a single dab ahead of next best Over 40 Pete Ablewhite on 7. Tom Bishop was best Novice.

On the white route it was Michael Smalley who came to the fore. Having rushed to the trial after competing in a 25mile cycling time trial earlier the ever youthful Michael rode the 40 sections for just 5 marks lost. Runner up was Tony Bilton on 9. Of the youth competitors it was Callum Hedison who finished on 22 to gain maximum championship points. Special mention to 2 other youth competitors, Alfred Alderman who continues to improve and Sam Arden who put in a good performance in his very first trial.
