British Championship Back This Weekend

british championship Round 2 preview james dabillJust a week on from the Scottish Six Days Trial comes round three of the 2016 RT Keedwell sponsored ACU British Trials Championships as the riders head to South Wales for the St David’s event on Sunday 15th May.

The St David's organised by the Neath Club is once again being held at Lletty Rafel Farm, Aberdulais, not far from Neath. The postcode for the venue is SA10 8HR.

At the Lakes a month ago James Dabill won both of the opening two championship class events in Cumbria which probably surprised very few. Jack Sheppard reminded everyone of his pedigree with a fifth and second places to open his account and he currently holds overall second place with Ross Danby in third. Jack Price took third place in the second event at the Lakes, his best ever result in the British Trials Championship and Michael Brown looked pretty sharp all week in Scotland so he will be looking to go well at Aberdulais.

In the Expert Class Dan Thorpe won both opening rounds to lead Tom Minta by six points going into the St David’s event. Chris Pearson currently lies in third just ahead of Joel Edwards.

Jack Peace is unbeaten in the Youth A Class with Keiran Child and Joe Dawson currently scrapping for second and third overall.

Sunday's action starts at 9.30 am when the riders will be away for three laps of twelve sections.
