Last weekend saw the final round of the 2018 S3 Parts Trials Championship take place with Newcastle & District MC playing host to the Travers Trophy Trial. Top man on the day was Andy Chilton - Scorpa, dropping just a single dab over the 40 sections with Dan Thorpe - Gas Gas two marks behind. However, as neither rider were eligibile for Championship points, the top point scorer was Championship leader going into the final round, Richard Sadler - Beta who finished third. This was Sadler's sixth victory of the series and enough to give him the S3 Parts Championship title ahead of Guy Kendrew - Beta.
On the Clubman course, Darren Wasley - Gas Gas clocked up his third win of the series to take top spot in the Clubman Championship. Second place went to Stephen Dalton - Beta, four marks behind Wasley with Colin Ward Snr turning in an impressive performance on the Yamaha finishing third.
Note that results are from 39 sections, not 40 as the score card from section 10 was lost.
