Grantham Pegasus MC & LCC Invicta Shield

Grantham Pegasus's Invicta Shield trial turned out to be a trial of two halves. Conditions in the early laps were tricky due to the heavy overnight frost but these soon changed as the sun brought the frost out of the ground. Held over 5 laps of 8 sections the main award went the way of Stuart Walker on his Montesa 4rt. Stuarts total of 53 was just 4 better than runner up Martyn Rushbrook.

Arguably the ride of the day was put in on the middle route by Over 40 winner Mick Thurman. Mick completed the trial for the loss of 15 marks and then kindly shared his birthday cake with fellow competitors and officials, thanks Mick. Next best on the route was regular front runner Andy Butt. Best Novice was Lee Wilson on his Sherco.

On the white route comeback king Gary Skipworth completed the event for the loss of 4 marks on his four stroke Beta. Next best was Mike Sanderson who as usual rode well on his Pre 65 Triumph Cub dropping just 10 marks. Best Youth Beginner was Tyler Atkinson on his Beta 80.
