We regret to report that the Huddersfield Falcon MCC Club Championship Trial scheduled for this Saturday 31st August at California Quarries has been postponed until further notice, out of respect to Clerk of Course Bill Swallow, and his Son Chris. Tragically 37 year old Chris Swallow was killed last Saturday whilst competing in the Senior Classic TT on the Isle of Man.
Although now living in New Zealand Chris was a Huddersfield lad who successfully competed in cycle and motorcycle trials before following his Dad in to road racing, first competing on the IOM in the 2007 Manx GP. He was runner up in 2012 in the 350 & 500cc classes and narrowly missed out on a podium in 2018, with a 4th. in the Senior Classic against top-class opposition (John McGuiness et al)
The Club would like to express their heartfelt condolences to Bill, his partner Liz, and all close family and friends, but particularly to Chris’s Wife Jen and their 2 children.
