World Trial Heads Down Under

Australia has won the right to host the second round of the 2012 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship to be held over two days on the 26 and 27 of May in Maldon, Victoria. This is the first time a Round of the World Championship has been conducted in Australasia with the event on the same tier of FIM events as the MotoGP held at Phillip Island.

The awarding of the right to host a round of this elite championship is a momentous occasion for the Australian motorcycle trials community and one that it has strived for many years. The event is also a great coup for Central Victoria and the township of Maldon.

Having finally been given the chance to showcase to the Australian people the skills and bravery of the world’s best trials riders and the exciting spectator appeal of world class trials competition the organisers are committed to hosting the best and most professional event possible.

Those behind the event are also committed to presenting to the riders, whether they are the world champion or an Australian hopeful, the very best organized and run event they have ever attended and to show them the hospitality, welcoming attitude and appreciation of fine sporting achievement Australians are renowned for.

More information on the event can be found at www.wtcaustralia.com.au or on the Trials Australia website
