The North Berks Motor Cycle Club will host the opening event in the seven round Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Ladies and Girls Trials Championship at Seymour’s Arena, Aston Tirrold on Sunday. The Trial has attracted a record entry of forty three starters. In the number will be World Enduro female champion Emma Bristow. The Louth competitor is also the 2013 British trials champion.
Emma rides against former champion Becky Cook in what is the highest number of adult competitors in her class. Scotland's Bronwyn Palmer will be the furtherst travelling, making the journey from Perth to compete. Add in skydiving Nikita Smith, football team player Danielle Whitham and former Class A champion Joanne Coles who retired while at the very top to train as a plumber. Nine contend the adult championship class.
The numbers are up In Ladies Intermediate class, in Class A B and C Youth. Isle of Man Police Officer Saskia Baxter ran away with the Inter class at Richmond last year. Can she repeat on Sunday? Maybe Harriet Shore and Charlotte Kimber may give Sakia a test as will Katy Bullock and Louise Cannom. The C Class is wide open with Alicia Robinson, on home ground, taking on Beth Watling, Alice Minta, Gabby Whitham, Niamh Richardson and Megan Savage. Alicia’s sister Leah is back on two wheels in the Support class after her health scare two years ago. Richmond’s Katy Sunter leads the field off at 10.31.
