Toni Bou (Montesa Cota 4RT) triumphant on the second day of the French Trial Grand Prix, third scoring event in the World Championship. With this victory, his second in the current edition of the championship, the Montesa rider has increased his lead. Takahisa Fujinami (Montesa Cota 4RT) finished fourth, just three points away from a podium position. Bou and Fujinami's results have enabled Montesa to increase its lead in the classification by manufacturer.
Laia Sanz (Montesa Cota 4RT) finished eighteenth in the Junior category, out of the scoring zone for the first time this season. Alfredo Gómez and Francesc Moret, both riding Montesa bikes, occupied the first two positions in this category.
Toni Bou: "I made some mistakes in the first lap, but the second went very well and I'm totally satisfied with it. The overall result of the two events this weekend has been positive, as I leave France with a greater advantage as leader. Yesterday I only had a two-point lead, now it's seven".
Takahisa Fujinami: "I made some serious mistakes at the beginning of lap two, in the second and third zones and lost some very important points that I couldn't recover and this cost me a podium position. I thought I could get a much better score than in the previous session and unfortunately this wasn't the case".
