I was wondering if anyone could help ID a pair of handlebars that came on my Yamaha TY175 when I purchased it. I’ve recently swapped to an OEM set, but curious about the old ones. They have a yellow zinc plate finish. It’s been suggested they may be Bernie Schrieber, or Answer handlebars possibly, but there were no identifying marks other than sticker residue, left over. A photo on the bike just after I picked it up. Mainly just personal curiosity as to what they may have been. Thanks!

Any of you who read my "am i too old thread" will know at 47 im a Trials virgin. Anyway after buying a bike i decided to visit a trial to have a look round and see what i have let myself in for. The trial was run by Sheffield and Halmamshire club and i enjoyed it, had a chat to an observer who expalined how to get started in the sport and also how the marker flags work etc. Several of the riders said hi and i was suprised by the mix of old and new machines and riders of both genders who were there. Im quite interested in Photography so took plenty of pics some of which are on my flickr page.

.After speaking with a few of the club sectaries at local trials it appears it's all the 'old school' boys that are keeping things going ! .... silently they get on with things and we riders turn up for a wonderfully organised event with good sections, observers, someone to sign you in etc etc. however it transpires that (for my local clubs anyway) they could do with more help in terms of setting out sections, flagging, observing, finance, securing land, sending letters to landowners to put a case forward to hold the trial, keeping landowners on side for future events, web sites, press coverage for advertising the event and publishing results in a better way, admin tasks,…

sorry if this has already been covered, but I've been away!! Saw a re-run of last weeks "Vroom Vroom" program, "Skys" attempt to emulate the success of Top Gear etc. Anyway they had a small piece on trials riding, the usual half hearted, unresearched effort but with Dougie roped in and doing his best to explain the sport and help some dizzy-ass woman (no disrespect to ANY lady riders intended, but she was annoying) having a go at a "section". Anyway was reasonably ok as it started off by showing some of the extreme world round stuff etc but went down hill rapidy as the narrator described that there were approx 30 clubs in the UK(!?), the cost of riding a trial is

Well done for bringing some "out of industry" sponsors to this website. Good stuff. Means that our market is valued.

hey guys. i’m not too sure how all of this works but basically, i discovered trials a while ago and i really wanna get into it. i saw many people recommending beginners to find a trials club in their area, so i went searching. i’d say i searched quite a bit, but i found absolutely nothing. i couldn’t find a single trials club in the country, let alone a dealer selling trials bikes in the area. i’m 16, so there isn’t much i can do like travel. what do i do now?

Hi guys Time to change my oil and would like to try atf. Have a 07 rev3 and live in the middle of no where and the only products easily available are caltex oils from the local general dealer/gas station. Can I use their atf? What do I need to look out for? Quite sure its mineral and not synthetic. Thanks
