Looking for a pressure washer that doesnt have to be conected to a running supply of water.Looking for something like the moto cross boys use.Any ideas on cost make etc ?

Im interested to know how often people wash their bike? I used to wash mine after every ride but If its been a dry ride and the bike is still easy to work on afterwards I dont bother. even if the bikes been caked in crap there has been the odd time ive left it, (still changed the air filter etc though). can anyone see why this could be bad practice? would it be damaging the bike in any way or do you find that the only downside to leaving it makes it is that its that bit harder to clean properly when you do get round to it. The way I see it, Less time washing the bike = more time riding it =] Its always wash it the next day anyway. I ride from about 9am till 6pm and by…

When washing your bike is there anything you cover up? I.e electrics, air filters, exhausts? I plan on taking my bike out for the first proper run tomorrow or Sunday. I know its possibly a simple question but if you don't have experience you don't know

whats the best way to wash your riding gear? for example my wulfsport bottoms say to hand wash only but after awhile i got fed up of this and never really cleaned them But today i thought there gettin just abit dirty so i just shoved them in the washing machine on delicate wash and they came out ok and alot cleaner. so why do they say hand wash only James

What do you all use for washing your bikes? Sponge water... pressure washer.... Some other form of exotic washing equipment... Just interested to know! Rich

Fellow TC members, What material is being used in your water proof punch cards? Do you print them or have them printed? Do they punch well? Are yours semi fuel proof as well? We have ours printed but its hard to find a good material that is water proof. We either get mush or a card that is un-punchable. We also inevitably have a few riders who fill the card with fuel rather than their tank. Just wanted to know what you all use. Thanks for your time! --Biff

Do all modern bikes with magnesium water pump housings have problems with corrosion and leaking like the Beta Rev3s? Looks like this is a major problem after several years?

The impeller of my motorcycle had better days...and shipping from france to brasil take too much time. So making one was the obvious choice.

Hey guys, Long time lurker here. Love the site as it has provided a lot of great info thanks! Question about my bike. I just did and overhaul on the waterpump on my 2012 raga, and have a question about the impeller. I had to press the assembly out to replace the seal and shaft, but I think I damaged about half the threads on the impeller being a monkey with it. I re-assembled, and I feel like there is still some good bite there. Until I get a replacement impeller, would I be foolish to run the bike? As the impeller is moving water, and the crank shaft doesn't spin very fast, I imagine there isn't a lot of force on the impeller. It felt p…

Hi I have a pair of gaerne boots, waterproofing seems to of worn off there now, any body recommend substance to buy to re water proof them or recommend new pair of boots? Cheers

Mods, hope this new post is okay. I compiled info from a previous thread here but added a pile of new stuff I got from other clubs internationally. Thanks to all for the great tips. Anyone got tips for getting more people into trials? I know it's big in the UK and Europe but elsewhere it seems to be the best kept secret of motorcycling. Of course none of this applies if a club wants to keep to a certain size, but is more for growing a club or at least maintaining club membership levels over time. I hope I'm not the only one doing this... please tell me most of you do it??? Once home from a days ride on our bikes I spend the next 2,3,4 days cleaning and prepping the 2 bikes for next ride! That can be as soon as the next weekend! First off I remove chains as they were getting tiny spots of corrosion from washing bike with them on, then removing. I have made a long tray that holds two chains flat and pour in kero and wash them easier now. Dry in sun when clean and leave in fav lube for a 1/2 day and hang to drip for a 1/2 day. Next is washing the bikes.... remove tail sections, cover air filter inlet (cover ecu area on Cota), plug exhausts, remove radiator shrouds…

I know I paid my tenner some while back is this a one off payment or should we pay an annual fee? As the site goes from strength to strength it can't be a cheap job so whats to do?
