Just back from a week or so in France on the road bike (missing the Cahors trial by 2 days) and now planning the next visit(s). Can anyone give me info on competing over there and/or how to find legal areas to ride if we were to stop for a week's holiday? Thanks

Hi Hot and sunny again today Sunday we have a trial demo at the gold mine in Waihi ,NZ for their open day. It involves our expert and some junior riders. My lad is rideing and i am hopeing to find the air filter full of gold dust. This must be the first event ever in a gold mine. Just thought I would let you now so you can look at the snow and dream. Feet up (on the sofa) and stay warm Pete

Hello, Just wondering having read the post a little further down with regards to this subject. I have an '02 Montesa 315R and when i purchased the bike i was advised to use 25ml of oil to every Liter of fuel... Does this sound about right for you guys out their that are also running similar bikes?? I seem to remember seeing something in the manual about the fuel mixture but i'm currently offshore on the rigs and don't have access to it until i get home... Regards, Ben. P.S Sorry if i seem to be posting alot but i'm new to the scene and am quite excited / enthralled in my recent adventure into riding.

Andy, why don't you create a new forum called which bike? Maybe it will make it a little bit easier for those punters to find the topics.

If this is in the wrong section please feel free to move it. We go abroad to my partners family's house in Cannes, South of France. Usually go on bikes or cars. Was thinking this year of going in van and putting superbike in and also putting Honda RTL in and maybe going a few days earlier providing there was somewhere to ride in the Alps / South of France. Anyone done any tours or these trial bike holidays? Any links to sites or useful information? Thanks in advance. Joe

I am giving the forks on my Merlin a service. The forks are telesco, which I am not familiar with. Does anyone have a tech manual for them? Only one leg has a spring with a pre-tension mechanism. The other seems to house some sort of damping/rebound mechanism, with a 1 to 7 dial. My main question is how much oil in each leg and what grade? What does the 1 to 7 dial do? Chrs Loose Bruce

Hi All, I am wondering if anyone has a workshop manual and wiring diagram for a 2004 Gas Gas TXT Pro 250 ? I have just brought the bike and want to do some upgrades and maintenance on it. I also want to replace the kill switch with a magnet strap one as it currently has a push button kill switch, so any advice and recommendations on the best/easiest one to fit would be a great help . Cheers Luke

I officially despise the "Gas Gas" Style Nut holding in the taps on metal tanks. That's two that have split trying to refit the tap on the Jotagas. Getting both tight and the tap in the right place is so bloody annoying!!!!!!!!!!! Anybody have any tips!

Aware that there are rules and regulations that the police have to enforce and teetering on the edge of actually following some I thought I’d make a possibly almost legal registration number plate. Not just another bolt on item just waiting to slice into a leg or rip your manhood off! This was to be a retractable marvel. Photos attached, the grey mud flap was fitted because as usual the plastic mudguards are too short, so aesthetics meant a mod. The flap is very flexible, and there is a Velcro pad at the bottom. The number plate I made from a file folder cover it’s black plastic and very flexible to. I considered buying a flexible reg plate off the internet but at £17+ a…
