General discussion on the sport of Observed Motorcycle Trials

  1. Hello everyone, I bought a 2020 Gasgas GP 300cc, with the red cylinder head, but I don't have the right compression, there was 1.2mm of base gasket, does anyone know what thickness is the original base gasket? Thank you very much in advance. Olivier from Belgium.

Hi, So far I was riding without any adjustment from the factory but idle is definitely too fast like 2400 rpm. I turned air screw out 1.25 as in manual and was trying to adjust with the idle screw to stated in the book 900-1100RPM but if I go that low bike starts to die. What idle do you run?

Our ground is used by a local trials club. Weee very happy to host, I’m just curious on how much clubs usually give the landowner? Is it done by number of bikes or just a set fee?

  7. Our friends at Rhode Island Trials Club have stepped up to put in the huge effort required to host the World Rounds / Wagner Cup for the FIM and AMA this coming July We ask for your support be it by pre-ordering tickets, volunteering, or helping to raise sponsorship funds. The projected cost is about 18x the amount of money the club has in its bank account. That being said, it will be a triumphant return of the sport's best and bravest athletes, it will be in a location with breathtaking terrain, and it will have incredible camping and paddock action. Two of the sections will be ADA accessible. Parking is free. There is also a trials ride available…

Heres a question, while i was sat at a section on my electric trials bike a rider pulled up alongside me and said, do i know if his lad could ride one of the electric bikes in the youth class! interesting point i didnt have the answer but the bike has a power switch each position is equivalent to 80cc. 125cc, 250cc and 300cc so in theory it covers all classes but i still dont know the answer to the question and i wonder if the ACU has ever thought about it

Hi folks. I've not long treated myself to a TRS One R 250 and was hoping you could please advise on what tools I should have in the garage for maintenance and repair? Size of socket sets etc? My knowledge is pretty limited so it will be a learning on the job scenario as stuff breaks and maintenance is required. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi all I am looking to buy my 1st Bike as trials is something I have always wanted to do, I am looking at a Montesa 4rt as I like the fact it is 4 stroke and fuel injected I have also considered a 2 stroke Beta however I keep ending up back at the Montesa any help and advice appreciated?

I've recently found a problem with lack of braking power on the front of my Electric Motion. First, a little bit of background: I've had the bike for three years and this problem has just started. The front brake is a braktec monobloc. My normal procedure between trials is to abrade both pads and disc with wet'n'dry and clean with brake cleaner. Three trials ago I fitted new Galfer red pads. For the first trial they worked fine. At both of the next two I found that the braking power was very weak. Although it was something I had never done before, and was a bit sceptical about, I rode up and down a bit with the front brake on to heat it up, then sprayed it with water…

  19. I've decided on a TRS one but I'm getting mixed reviews between the One R and RR. I've heard for a very average rider (like me) the One R is forgiving but offers the versatility of the other models without having to "tame it". I've also however heard people who say they find the RR perfectly smooth and not too much of a handful. I totally get that rider ability playa a massive part but I was looking for any experience or advice subjective to an average rider looking to improve some of the "trick" type skills such as blips and hopping etc. Thanks.
