Hi, my name is Stuart Morrison (you could probably work that one out from my username) I live in Redditch, Worcestershire, UK and I am getting back into trials after a 12 year break. I was only trialing for a couple of years first time round, started on a borrowed Fantic 200 enjoyed it so bought myself a 201, cheap and cheerful. After a year I bought a brand new Beta Synt (last of line) but stopped having fun and when the magnesium crankcase digested itself I lost interest altogether. I see from this forum that Betas still suffer crank case problems. I won

Just bought my first motorbike having had a training day at Earl Shilton with Dave. Great training and everyone I talked to clearly enjoyed it all. Looking forward to advancing with plenty of practice. Already spent a fair bit of time on here picking up tips on everything from Maintenance to places to ride, and I sure will be on here even more in the future. May be a few months before I enter my first trial!! Alex

Hi I'm Parky. I learned to ride on a Cota 247 when I was 11 and have had trials bikes on and off since then. 36 years later and I've bought a Cota 348 which I'm restoring. I used to ride with west Leeds and Horsforth but will be looking for the easy twinshock trials in the new year.

  10. Hi folks, New to the forum pages and finding my way around this site - and about to buy a Beta Evo 250 2T. I'm a very novice trials rider; I bought a 2012 Beta Evo a few years ago (turning 40 years old and wanted to try a motorcycle discipline I'd not done before) but went to work overseas and sold it - only had it maybe 12 months. I did a few events in the Cheshire area where I lived at the time and quite enjoyed it. I have since relocated home to the Redditch / Bromsgrove area and keen to find local training grounds, trials club etc to occupy me when I'm not green laning / working. I am not really familiar with the Worcestershire area so if…

Good morning Hopefully, I'll not be posting too many daft pleas for help and advice as a newbie! I've just embarked on my first project, a Bultaco Aplina 250. A lot of the hard work has been done by the avid bike fettling/restoring seller. With the engine rebuilt and sitting in a restored frame, I've got the task of fitting all the bits in boxes on the bike and getting it running. Best wishes to all. Jeremy
