New to Trials Central, have ridden street and dirt for years, was looking for something new. Rented an old Sherco/Bultaco? 290 for a couple days 3 years ago and was hooked. Have a Beta Evo 250 and Vertigo 300, ride locally in some hills and take occasional trip to Moab and Glendive, lots to learn with this new hobby!

Just bought a Beta Evo 250 factory, looking forward to getting out again. Any new places to practice in North Yorkshire? (Nr Harrogate) used to go to Swaine woods a lot, is it still OK to go if I join Horsforth club?

Hi All Not a rider in Trials anymore , only did it for one season which I think was 1956 , not a misprint 1956, but the attraction has never left me , and the sound of a big single is still fantasic to me. I spectate and do a bit of observing now , I admire all the skills shown by young and not so young. The bikes have changed from my day [improved] but happy to report the polite'ness of all concerned is as it was in the 50'5 . Excellent To all the youngsters out there just enjoy your selves , it's a great sport.

Looking to get a ktm 300 2smoke supermoto soon though. Bout 6 years ago i had a Montesa Cota 315R that i loved, till i had some nasty bone fractures Now i've got myself a mint condition Montesa Cota 310, i think '90. Really its like brand new! Thought I would say hello as now looking for a new bike. I started off doing schoolboy trials early 80's and rode most weekends around the midlands. Slowly stopped riding in the late 90's but kept my ty250 that I had new in 88 and have done 5 or 6 trials in last 10 years. Now looking to get into riding again and getting myself and newer bike.

Hey there. Name's Joe and I live in Northern Arizona in the USA. Rode about a season of trials on an Ossa about 25 years ago, and promised myself I'd someday give it another whirl. Just managed to find a really nice 04 Montesa, and once I get some of the wrinkles out, I'll be on my way. Appreciate the great site.....it's already helped me not make a mistake on several bikes I was looking at. Joe

Been out of trials for a while now but I just picked up a TXT200 with a V5 for not much money ( It would have been rude not to buy it ! ) so I thought I'd say hello! I am in the Midlands of the UK so if there are any riders around who fancy some practice PM me. ( I have a great practice place right on my doorstep ) Just a quick Q as I dont know which part of the forums to ask it ! Does anyone know of a good MOT tester in the Midlands/Birmingham/Walsall area ? ( i.e. one that understands a trials/daytime MOT ) Cheers Jona

Great forum, I've gleaned plenty of info from the posts, thanks. Newish to trial after years of road bikes and road racing, discovered trials bikes a couple of year ago now and absolutely love riding my 290. My road bike is under covers losing money steadily, whereas my trials bike is in a constant cycle of ride, wash, oil, ride, wash, oil, ride, wash, oil. Even though I ride A fair bit, I am yet to muster up the courage to enter a trial, I will though Anyway, Hello!
