Hi all! Just wanted to say "hello" to everyone. My name is Wayne, I'm 28 years old and have recently bought a Yamaha Ty175 to have a go at some twin shock trials. Raced Enduro all my life (Currently own a KTM EXC 250 2 stroke) so this will be something different and I'm looking forward to getting out on the TY! Great site, lots of useful info!

  4. Hello to all, New to the forum, and in need of some good advice. Father and son based in south wales. My son has swapped from motocross to trials, which is great news. And we still get to have our father and son times whether it's out and about or working on the bike. We have picked up a beta evo 125 2011, which he has been practising on. Unfortunately the previous owner has rounded nuts off. We have stirpped the front forks down, which are Paioli forks, but the top nut/ally key is completely rounded and shredded, this is bright red, not sure if it has been added as a bling bit. I am trying to find somewhere to buy a replacement, but cannot find anywhere. Doesn'…

Greetings everyone. I'm based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I've been riding road bikes for the last 20 years but have only recently gotten interested in trials. Bought an Oset 12.5 for my 4yr old son to get him started. This was soon followed by an Oset 20 for myself, which the wife then appropriated The back yard has been landscaped into a little trials track and we are now riding as a family every other evening. Suffice to say the bug has bitten

Hi everyone, just bought my first trials bike, 2009 beta evo 290. Have only ridden it once but had great fun! I have the beta clutch drag issue which when I googled it brought me here. I used to do motocross, now my main activity is trackdays on my sports bike but got the trials for some local cheap fun.

Hello, My name is Joel. I from Florida. I have been racing vintage motocross for a decade now and love all things vintage. My father-in-law, who used to race back in the day, got me into motorcycles and he and I have been restoring and racing vintage bikes ever since. I learned to ride on a 1971 Hodaka Super Rat and a 1986 Yamaha TY 350. I have always enjoyed riding the trials bike. My father-in-law used to compete in trials as well. I recently acquired a Fantic 240 professional trials bike (that had been sitting outside for 20 years with a tree growing out of it) and have joined the site in search of information about the bike, part sourcing, and just general vintage…

Does anyone know the wire gauge to rewind a stator on a GasGas TXT? I get that I can measure the existing one but I can't get the flywheel off without the tool which is on order. How many volts should I get from the stator? I am getting about 10 VAC which seems low. Thanks, Kevin

Hello everyone, my names Pete and after a 25 year layoff, I'm taking up trials again! My last bike was a Montesa 200C Cota twinshock, and I've just bought a 315R and joined and entered for my first club trial next Sunday...! I think I better get some practice in. I've also got an '04R1 which is really a track day tool and barely road legal, though I do use it on the road. And instead of getting bored in the winter with no fun to be had doing trackdays in the UK, I've decided to get back into Trials. I've started modding the bike already and have fitted a OKO 28mm / KEIHIN PHK rep carb.
