hi im dave from middlesbrough been riding trials for 6 years now and had a sy 250 scorpa but recentley bought a 2004 beta rev3 and noticed that it has a slight rattle from the cylinder head i think its the piston and been told that its not that bad and that they can be ridden for months like that... the bike rides perfectly and hasnt let me down but just not sure about the noise can any 1 help?? Hello, Please allow me to introduce myself, I have been talked into getting a bike from an old mate seemed a good idea at the time.The last time I rode a trials bike I was 15 over 25 years ago.I used to compete almost every weekend with a bit of success around the North West (UK) area I started in D class on a TY80 eventually ending up on a Cota 200 Montesa following in the bootsteps of my Dad. I have got myself a Beta Evo 290 thought the extra cc would help shift the onboard beer storage vessel I seem to of amassed .I cant believe how things have changed the bikes are so light and responsive the brakes even work ! Hi guys and gals who competed in the trial at Church Stretton today, hope you all got back to your vans with your bikes. for those reading this the police were in the area of the trial today checking the legality of riders machines and confiscating those not legal, ready for the crusher I guess. Something for all riders to think about with the police having the power to take away your machine!!! May be its time to move away from road trials to private land events for british sidecar champs rounds then we would not have to put our bikes in the vans to go each group.

Hi all, Help required! Just bought the montesa 247, had it dated to sept 1975 an ulf Karlson replica with matching numbers. The bike runs well and just needs tlc, at the moment it has a exhaust that is one piece from header including a middle box coming out just after the seat unit, is that right or am I missing the end silencer there appears to be mounting brackets for one. I have noticed from reading the forum that my front wheel is also the wrong way round! Is there a reason why this was done? I'm intending to get it painted and powder coated, what colour should the frame be at present it's black, but have noticed that some are silver. And does anyone know the corr…

I'm a 12 year street bike rider that's just now getting into Trials. Coming from -0- experience in anything remotely resembling dirt or obstacles. To make things even more interesting, my bike is 1998 Gas Gas TX 320..... that I bought as a pile of parts. Story from previous owner was that his friend was a GG dealer and was cleaning up shop and got this TX with a new frame. The problem is *I* am not the one that disassembled it, nor am I familiar with the construction of these bikes even tangentially. However, Previous Owner did give me a binder that has the GG parts catalogs/schematics for the model year. I'm not sure if I have 120% of a bike or 80% of a bike however, as …

HI all kee here from rossendale lancs just joined the forum . Just bought my first bike to get into the sport a 2001 sherco 290cc . just need some help with fuel as i am really unsure of what is the right fuel and oil mix for my bike and dose any body no where and if i cud buy any kind of Maintenance Manual for my bike .Like i said im as green as the grass when it comes to bikes so apologies if these seem like stupid questions

hi everyone im a newby to this site and need some info on my bike i have a 95 jt 25 gas gas and have recently filled my radiator up but now and again steam and water spills out of the filler cap and the bike seems to be overheating as if it has a air lock i have checked the pump isnt seized and it turns wen u kick it is there some way of bleading the radiator
