Hello, I live in the NW corner of the NW State and it's a fairly lonley place to be a trials rider... It's a bit suprising really as the weather is terrible, wet and cold. It's perfect for trials riders! I am a new dirt rider but have done some dual sport riding. I'm old enough to not want to experience the thrill of a flying thru the woods with my bike no longer beneath me. I learned that should be a goal on my first choice for a dirt bike. I bought myself a new KTM 300 XC-W - oops. What a great bike! I took a class from Chris Birch and asked - What do I need to get from a street rider to a dirt rider? He and the Vancover Island Trials Champ both said - practica…

Hi all, my name is Joe, from Cannock, Staffordshire. Just purchased an 06 rev 3. Got it fully stripped to address a few issues here and there but will be back together by the end of the week, fingers crossed. Looking for local advice on any winter trials practice or beginner events around the Midlands/Peaks/Dales. I am going to give Dave Lewis a bell about Penkridge, but thought I'd ask here in the meantime. Cheers !

Hi all, Joined up a few years back when I brought my fantic to hopefully gleem a little online info.... I have since become a dad again and im now thinking I really ought to build my bike back up and get out and ride it before the next few years flash by and they ban two strokes or something daft.... Have not rode trials for about 20 odd years so should be fun . Anyone any good club recomendations in our around Notts /Derby area. Cheers Jamie

Hello all. With the family all grown up and independant, and a couple of spare quid in the bank, what better than to get back into motorbikes after a 25 year break? While I was mainly into motocross and road bikes, I did dabble in trials for a bit with an old Ossa. Now starting up afresh, based near Henley on Thames in South Oxon - any pointers towards local trials clubs, dealers, comps - anything please. And if I buy a Gas Gas 300 - will it kill me? Cheers

Hi, Just got myself a Honda TLR200 as I fancied getting back into trials via the 4 stroke route, but not spending a fortune! Anyone got any tips on em? Also, anyone in the York UK area riding TL/TLR'S? Sam.

Hello all, I am new to this forum. I just purchased a 1971Ossa Mar from an individual who lives in denver colorado at a very high altitude. He has a mikuni on the bike. I live in sacramento California at sea level and occaisionally ride at around 2 thousand feet. My question is do I need to rejet the mikiuni to run richer e.g. needle position, main jet size, etc or can I leave it. What I don't want is for the bike to run too lean. Sorry but I don't know the model of the carby yet as the bike is still on the way. In any case your help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely Paul and Donna

After a 25 year rest I've got myself a '98 scorpa easy and have gone back to Back Cowm quarries in Whitworth Lancashire. Still as rubbish as I used to be but am having just as much fun.

Hi from Dallas Texas, Just purchased a great running 1974 TY250. 95% original except for rear fender, black frame?, aluminum handlebar, butchered wiring harness and a very nice fork brace that fits inside the fender. I plan to add the Headlight/Taillight/speedometer and have the fuel tank repainted. The tank had some internal rust but I filled the tank with salt and vinegar and after sitting 4 days the rust is gone. As a hobby I repair and restore old cars and motorcycles and I look forward to getting an education from the Forum.

Hi folks My names Vic, I'm from County Down in Northern Ireland. Thought i'd sign up here, see whats happening and seek help when needed. I've had my Fantic for over 20 years. Its a 212cc (I believe its the 241 model.) Its always been a trusty workhorse, providing many hours of entertainment and a LOT of abuse! Thanks Vic.

  13. Hello Everyone, I just recently returned to trials after having been involved in an on-and-off manner for the past 30+ years. Living in California, the environmental/air quality issues made purchasing a bike that I could ride all year long extremely difficult. I ended up buying an Electric Motion 5.7 and really love it. However, now there are now fewer places to ride and fewer trial riders at the events. Trials seems to be on a very steep decline and I would like to hear your opinions as to why that may be happening. I've seen the OSET company trying to get very young riders involved in trials, and I think that's great. But what do you think can be done to…

Hi everybody, I'm not that new to trials as my son has been doing it for a couple of years now. I've always been into road bikes and have owned them since 16yrs old ( RD50M ). Floated in and out ever since , but currently have a fair selection of toys. Both runners and project. My son is 10yrs old and started messing around on the local farm with a pw50 at 5yrs old. He's moved through a ty80, a very brief spell on a ty80 whitehawk and currently does the white route at Earl Shilton on his GasGas Rookie. Now, i'm sure most of you will understand that I obviously had to get a bike to ride with him on practice days and that bike was a Suzuki 250 Beamish. Had It for th…

Hi everyone, my name is Karrie and I live near Pontefract. Only very recently got into trials, went out to Bumpy's for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it. I am hoping to make some friends as I don't know/have anyone to ride with. I'm a complete novice to be honest, I know how to ride a bike and that's about it. I think my other half will soon get fed up of babysitting me when I'm out on it! So anyway, hi

Just joined and would like to have a chat with those interested in 70's Bultaco Sherp T's. At present I have 4 of them ranging from 1972 to 79 and all quit different. Who knows what they are talking about when it comes to the different models in this era. I am based near London in the UK and normally do not have the information at hand when it comes to identify problems and spares availability. Dave Rainham is very good, but I do not like pestering him too much, he has a business to run and not woffle with a geek like me ! Also, want to get hold of a 1975 model. Any thoughts let me know.
